Hyundai Santro Interior



The cabin of the 2018 Hyundai Santro boasts of improved space and also makes good use of materials. The dual beige and black themed interior looks pleasant that extend to the seats as well, while the tallboy design makes for ample of headroom too. The also comes with decent legroom at the rear seats, which is a big plus and Hyundai claims that three people can easily sit at the back. The car gets a boot space of 235 litres which is good enough for a small hatchback. 


One of the biggest plus points on the new Hyundai Santro are the rear AC vents, which not only aid to comfort for rear seat passengers, but is seen as a premium feature as well. The other big update is the addition of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Bluetooth, mirror link and inbuilt navigation. More importantly, the infotainment setup will also support Apple carplay and Android Auto, a segment first feature. The connectivity options will certainly appeal to younger buyers looking for their first car.


Hyundai Santro Engine and Transmission


Power on the all-new Hyundai Santro comes from only the 1.1-litre, Epsilon family engine that is tuned to produce 68 bhp of power and 99 Nm of peak torque. The engine is a 4-cylinder motor that is already ready to meet the future BS6 regulations when they kick in in 2020. The new Santro also gets a factory fitted CNG option with an 8 kg capacity tank. The CNG version though, will have the motor de-tuned to 58 bhp, while the torque output will remain the same at 99 Nm. The Santro is available in both a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT. The AMT has been developed in-house by Hyundai and has already garnered its fair share of bookings. 32% of the bookings made for the Santro are for the AMT option.
